Marco Amelia’s agent Carlo Pallavicino has closed the door on claims the goalkeeper will be leaving AC Milan this summer.
Last month the 29-year-old Italian said he would only leave San Siro for Roma after reports linked him with a move to Cagliari, who look set to lose Federico Marchetti to Lazio.
Amelia’s words gave rise to speculation new Roma coach Luis Enrique was looking at him to replace Alexander Doni, who has been linked with an exit from the Stadio Olimpico outfit.
However, Pallavicino set the record straight on Monday.
“Amelia will certainly stay at Milan,” the player’s representative told Milannews.it.
The shot-stopper recently signed a permanent deal with the Italian champions until 2015 following his successful loan spell from Genoa last season.
