MATHIEU FLAMINI says he wants to stay.
The Frenchman had his best season since joining Milan in 2008 from Arsenal on a Bosman transfer under Massimiliano Allegri, and now he says that he wants to stay as he wants to win the Champions League.
Flamini helped his Milan side win the Scudetto this season but reports suggested he may leave the club this summer as he could become surplus to requirements and Milan wouldn’t like to lose him on free next year.
“I intend to remain and to renew the agreement with AC Milan,” the 27-year-old midfielder told il Corriere dello Sport. “There’s no hurry, we’ll talk later when the time comes, but I want to stay long at Milanello.
“Also because, after winning the league title, I want the Champions League.”
Milan have already announced they will deal with next year’s renewals at the end of the next season.
